Fulfilling its mission “to develop excellence in children and young adults-physically, psychologically and socially; and to use sports as a vehicle to discover life opportunities,” the Vincera Foundation hosted the USTA Foundation children and their mentors for a core health and wellness workshop at the Vincera Institute in Philadelphia. The participants were given an insiders tour of the Vincera Institute by Founder and President, Dr. William C. Meyers, learning about the Clinic, and the supporting Radiology, Surgery and Physical Therapy Centers all focused on core medicine. During their visit the children had the opportunity to meet DeSean Jackson, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver, to learn first hand how the combination of sport and education can lead to success in life. The day also included a core strengthening exercise program specific for tennis and a nutrition workshop. The Vincera Foundation is a proud sponsor of the USTA Foundation, whose mission is to bring tennis and education together to change lives.
